- The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work as a Field Engineer within the Services Engineering Team of our client - a leader in providing AV and VC solutions to customers globally.
You will be responsible within your team for installing and maintaining AV/VC solutions across multiple sites and will work alongside the Business Assurance and Service Desk teams,
playing a pivotal role in troubleshooting and resolving issues with AV solutions.
In this role, you will be expected to travel to both nationally and internationally to carry out work, ranging from first fix through to configuration, testing and handover. For this reason, punctuality, flexibility and organisational skills are crucial.
Key responsibilities:
▪Install and maintain superb AV services and solutions
▪Interact with peers, end users, managers, and external partners
▪Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues
▪Configure Video Conferencing systems
▪Work from schematics
▪Work to deadlines
Based in Greater London or the Home Counties, salary is negotiable doe and comes with a car allowance, healthcare and benefits as well as paid overtime.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
▪AV/VC installation experience in large organisations, with demonstrable AV/VC knowledge and skills.
▪Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
▪Fundamental knowledge of network infrastructures
▪Interest in AV/VC technology
▪Ability to use cloud-based systems and AV hardware and software, including AV testing equipment.
▪Experience and the ability to configure DSP technology
▪Confident and professional when dealing with clients
▪Experience and understanding of H323 and SIP Video Conferencing standards
▪Excellent cable termination skills system
▪Very good communication skills, both written and verbal
You will also need a driving licence and current (unrestricted) passport.
