- The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and well-organised person with a keen interest in marketing and the events industry. Working across the Exhibition Marketing and Conference teams of this successful International Events organisation, you will acquire valuable first-hand experience of what it takes to stage some of Europe's most successful and dynamic B2B events.
While based in Munich, the job necessitates a certain amount of international travel. You will be working on key international events throughout the year.
Our client is looking for a creative, committed and flexible team player. The role covers social media activity and content marketing for all of their events.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
o Writing English and German language content for event newsletters and websites
o Creating marketing content as required (ad campaigns, brochures etc.)
o Editing content on event websites and newsletters
o Working with content managers and directors to identify key content themes for promotion
o Budgeting and planning social media (Linked In, Facebook, Twitter etc.) campaigns for all events and conferences
o Working with content managers and conference directors to research and identify key content themes for promotion
o Communicating social media plans to management and colleagues
o Writing English and German language content for all social media campaigns
o Working with the IT/Marketing team to deliver the campaigns
o Analysing and reporting on campaigns to managers and the team
o Attending and creating content during all events
Based in Munich salary will be circa Euros 30k plus benefits
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
o A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role (event management /marketing/trade association)
o Proven editorial and creative writing skills and experience of creating and managing social media campaigns
o Excellent command of the English and German language (spoken/written)
o Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
o Proactive approach to workload and new ideas
o Background in Microsoft Office, Internet search, social media sites and WordPress
o Abilities as a self-starter
