- The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced AV Technical Designer to work for a well established and successful Audio Visual Integrator in their Pre-Sales Technical Design Team.
This role is to increase our client's system design capacity and add more experience and talent to further improve system designs.
Our client's technical designers work independently on individual projects but are very much a team, continually sharing new information and design ideas. You would be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director and will get day-to-day support from the Senior Design Engineer and the rest of the technical design team.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
▪Work closely with the sales team and attend client meetings.
▪Take customer briefs: written, telephone or through client meeting/ site visit.
▪Research product and technology solutions.
▪Generate proposals and formal tender responses including: design drawings (conceptual, elevation and schematic), equipment schedules, narratives and other supporting information.
▪Present designs/proposals to the clients.
▪Provide detailed hand over of designs to project managers.
The role will be based from home but require at least one day per week in their Reading office. Customers will be based mainly in London and along the M4 corridor. Salary circa £40k p.a. doe plus car allowance, pension and other benefits.
Your skills and experience
You must be an expert in developing audio visual solutions with the ability to design advanced AV systems for a wide range of customer requirements.

▪Experience with and accreditation for the major AV manufacturers products
▪High competence with Microsoft Office applications.
▪Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD or Visio.
▪Ability to create schematic drawings for audio, video and control system elements.
▪You should have Avixa CTS qualification and all additional audio, video, control or similar qualifications and courses attended will be of benefit.
▪You must have a full valid drivers licence.
