- The Opportunity
As a Lead Audio Visual Installation Engineer, you will lead the delivery of nationwide and international installations specified by clients required solutions including Creston, AMX, Savant and Control4 control systems. You will monitor installation work to ensure the highest standard is kept through all stages of a project, working in conjunction with Project Managers and the installation team to ensure installations are carried out within the agreed budget time scales.
You will be responsible for liaising with clients on installations and providing the Installation Manager with information regarding specific installations and on site client issues. The suitable candidate will also be responsible for managing on site logistics including allocation of labour, ordering consumables, and stock control. In addition to this you will be carrying out site surveys and providing detailed reports to the project team to identify risks and make suitable recommendations.
Salary: Negotiable circa £30k-£32k + vehicle and benefits based London West End but will include significant travel.
Your Skills and experience
Must be a proven AV installation engineer with excellent technical knowledge of AV installations and knowledge of the latest Home Automation, Lighting Control, Home Cinema and AV as well as knowledge of Security and Access Control technologies and must have experience of working on construction sites and coordinating AV installations with contractors and other trades.
You must be proficient installing modern AV infrastructure and AV equipment, including AV Rack Dress and Wiring, Flat Panel Displays, Projectors, Screens, Speakers, including calibration and set up. Experience working in residential and corporate environments and liaising with senior clients would be an advantage.
You will also need to undergo a CRB check to work on sensitive client sites. A full driving licence is essential. You will be required to cover sites across the South East and London but need to be flexible on travel and working hours when required (usually 9am-5pm with occasional overtime)
