deliver the power and productivity of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams at room scale. They offer people new ways to connect, collaborate and deliver results.
Both Avocor and Microsoft understand that the most effective businesses have a team-based, collaborative culture and are focused on enabling creativity and productivity. Companies that promote collaborative working are five times as likely to be high-performing. In the modern workplace teams come in all shapes and sizes and can be local or spread across the globe. To enable teamwork, users need tools that empower people to seamlessly connect in a huddle room, conference room, or in any team space.
“Microsoft is making teamwork easier than ever before, and the new Windows collaboration displays enable this by providing a room-size display on which people can work together, using apps like Microsoft Teams and Whiteboard to get projects done,” said Ruston Panabaker, vice president of IoT solutions at Microsoft. “We are thrilled that Avocor is working with us to launch the Windows collaboration display category, and that they are bringing a line of innovative displays to market that will be compatible with Windows 10 applications, touch screen and inking capabilities.”
Collaboration displays built by Avocor deliver a new level of empowerment for people to work together in realtime and collaborate in efficient and intuitive ways. These brand-new 4K 20-point touch displays will offer flawless pen and inking capabilities that enable people to easily use the best of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools – from Windows and Office to Microsoft Whiteboard and Microsoft Teams – at room scale, all backed by the intelligent cloud.
The upcoming Windows collaboration product line by Avocor will feature integrated cameras, stereo speakers, far field microphones, and pen, and will easily connect to any Windows 10 PC via a single USB-C. In addition to being teamwork devices, Windows collaboration displays from Avocor will include built-in sensors that connect to Azure IoT, so facility managers can utilise the environmental data they collect to make realtime decisions.
“Avocor is changing how people can collaborate and working with a partner like Microsoft accelerates the customer experience so it’s easy and effective,” said Scott Hix, CEO of Avocor. “Windows collaboration display products by Avocor will be an ideal solution for huddle spaces, offices and meeting rooms and seamlessly integrate into any enterprise.”
Although the Windows collaboration displays were not yet available at InfoComm the Avocor F series F-6550, an interactive display with inking and touch is at Microsoft’s Infocomm 2018 booth N2814 and Avocor’s booth N2714. Avocor is also previewing a display that will show features of the Azure IOT solutions at InfoComm. Pricing, display sizes and availability for the additional Windows collaboration displays built by Avocor will be announced this summer.
