- The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an award winning, niche Technology distributor as Technical Sales Support Manager. Your role will be to support the sales team and customers with technical guidance, assistance and design, as well as assist with project management and implementation of both pre and post sales.
Your key responsibilities will include:
▪Provide product training updates to staff partners.
▪Be available for on-site meetings with partners and end users.
▪Distribute new product and vendor updates (internally externally)
▪Identify opportunities with partners and develop with Sales.
▪Primary technical contact for all partners, including face to face meetings.
▪Pro-actively build relationships with partners vendors technical teams.
▪Directly support Sales teams, partners and end users with solution design, both on site and
▪remotely.
▪Manage technical/complex projects from inception to final design in liaison with Sales.
▪Write design to Unistar SCT and share to sales admin account manager.
▪Organize and attend site surveys.
▪Identify additional resource from vendor or client's team.
▪Liaise with partner/end-user post installation to ensure satisfaction.
▪Manage all pre-sales support questions.
▪Assist with any post sales issues.
▪Technically evaluate all new products from existing vendors.
▪Undertake relevant vendor training to become familiar with new technologies and products
Based in Manchester with travel throughout the UK, salary is £45k-£50k p.s. plus car allowance and benefits.
Your skills & experience
The successful candidate will have:
▪Proven track record in a pre-sales role
▪Must have or be willing to attain Industry recognized accreditations to professional level or
▪willing to work towards them e.g. Huawei HCNP
▪Hold face to face meetings with resellers and end users.
▪Ability to produce technical schematics using AutoCAD or similar packages
▪Working knowledge of IT Networking, Data Security, Storage and other relevant technologies such as AV over IP.
▪Experience of designing and implementing IoT based solutions would be advantageous.
▪Qualifications such as ITIL, Prince2 and similar would be a benefit
