- The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Lighting Applications Engineer is to support the sales of lighting products for this global brand. The support is related to training and education of our client's sales channels, technical support to Lighting Designers/Architects and project support.
The successful candidate will have experience in Theatre Lighting, Entertainment, Concert Lighting Design.
You will also take responsibility for lighting design in our client's Customer Experience Centre as well as exhibitions throughout the year.
Key responsibilities:
▪Providing effective training of the sales channels, with focus on technical product training and system design.
▪Support the business development organisation with strategic projects and other BD related tasks.
▪Provide technical support to Lighting Designers, in partnership with the business development team.
▪Provide technical support for clients, working with them to enable effective and appropriate deployment of the products.
▪Motivate and enable our channels to increase sales of the product range through utilising appropriate marketing tools.
▪Handle request for custom products, feasibility study, and price calculation.
▪Assist in the generation of positive PR to support the Company's reputation as a market leader, either directly, or in co-operation with the relevant customers.
▪Be an integral part of the planning and execution of key Exhibitions and locally held seminars throughout the EMEA region.
▪Learn the basics of all company products, to be able to support cross brand opportunities.
Based in Herts/Greater London salary and benefits package is extremely competitive and negotiable ( circa £35k-£37 p.a.)
The role does involve travelling across the UK and occasionally overseas.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
▪A solid background in the professional lighting industry, with experience in video and control.
▪Wide knowledge about lighting applications, Stage, Studio, Nightclub, Architectural etc.
▪Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
▪Independent worker with good working ethics and discipline.
▪Solid commercial understanding.
▪Absolute attention to detail.
▪Excellent relationship building skills.
▪Strong networking and referral building ability.
You will also be results driven, a clear and strategic thinker and have proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans.
You will be capable of handling multiples initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion.
You will be a proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization.
You will be passionate and motivated to to achieve first class customer satisfaction
