- The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Home Automation AV Engineer to lead a successful team in a thriving business in London.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, leading architects and other specialists you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and support of a number of Smart home systems including AV, IT, lighting control and security installations. You will oversee the work of junior engineers and will be responsible for the physical delivery of projects.
Main Responsibilities
▪Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of various systems, including:
▪Audio-Video: TVs and projectors, speakers, amplifiers, etc.;
▪Lighting control systems;
▪Home control and building management systems;
▪IT and telephony equipment: NAS drives, media servers, PCs, telephone systems, routers, switches, Wi-Fi APs and controllers;
▪CCTV intruder alarms;
▪Overseeing, coaching and mentoring junior engineers, technicians and apprentices;
▪Installation, termination and testing of structured wiring;
▪Rack building, testing and configuration of rack-mounted devices.
Based in London (ideally North or North West) salary is £35k-£40k based on experience plus access to company vehicle and benefits including staff discounts.
Your skills and experience
▪The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years practical experience in the home automation, AV, IT or security industries;
▪Practical knowledge and experience working with any of the following: AV equipment, lighting, electrical, IT or structured wiring;
▪Ability to work on construction sites and understanding of 1st, 2nd and final fixing;
▪Attention to detail
▪Driving Licence
▪Impeccable manners, efficient and well-organised;
▪Candidates should live in a comfortable travelling distance from North West London
