- The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our client's technical team to help deliver integrated AV solutions to UK universities, museums, hotels, public sector and corporate clients across the UK.
Working between the office and customer sites across the North of England and beyond, this multi-discipline role will initially focus on the configuration and commissioning of high end integrated audio visual systems. Working with video, audio, networking and control equipment you will use your technical knowledge to optimise the performance of installed systems to deliver the best possible audio and visual experience for the client.
The role is varied and demands a systematic, organised approach with excellent attention to detail. It will test logical thinking, fault finding and provide an opportunity to apply technical skills learned during your studies in a practical, real-world environment.
Industry specific training will be provided to expand on your existing skill set to include DSP configuration, sound system optimisation and control system programming, with plenty of opportunities for the right candidate to progress further into control system programming and user interface design.
As part of the programming team, you will report to the Software and Support Director and work closely with colleagues from the design, installation and sales teams.
Based in Lancashire, salary is circa £20k-£25k plus Vehicle, phone and laptop will be provided and other benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will:
▪Have a high-level of computer literacy
▪Have experience in live sound or audio system design optimisation
▪Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
▪Have excellent problem-solving skills
▪Have the drive to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail
▪Represent the company professionally and courteously and present a positive image to the customer
▪Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach a range of different tasks
▪Have the passion and drive to keep up with the fast-changing nature of the AV environment
▪Be able to prioritise and work under pressure
▪Have a valid driving licence
Also ideally:
▪Have a good understanding of a modern programming language such as Python or C#
▪Have a keen interest in home automation or similar technologies
▪Have a keen interest in emerging technologies such as AV over IP
▪Possess a valid passport
