- The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing schools' solution specialist as an experienced AV Pre-Sales and Project Manager who will be responsible for specification, management, and delivery of technical Audio-Visual projects.
This role is a hands-on role with time spent carrying out Pre-Sales technical design duties to support the Sales team by helping specify technical product and service-based customer solutions by liaising with manufacturer, distributor, and installation partners and then project managing the installation process for these orders.

You will help provide this choice by helping build customer options and ensuring that these are easy to quote, install and support. You will also help by innovating and finding solutions to product or service issues and will work with the service delivery team and sales team to improve customer experience.
Key responsibilities:
Performing Presales duties to ensure we offer internal and external customers a consistent range of solutions to meet their needs ensuring we can offer a “good, better, best” option.
Management of complex Audio-Visual project delivery including technical design implementation, planning, client liaison, and project management to ensure that targets are met
Planning of works and preparation of project paperwork and reports.
Communicating and empathising with customers, sales team, and any other stakeholders to ensure that their expectations are realised, and their satisfaction ensured.
Project managing larger projects and technical solutions ensuring that products are installed correctly, and that customer is trained to a high level of satisfaction.
Review project deliverables to ensure labour, technical and material requirements are met and ensuring that technical aspects are met throughout the duration of the project.
Deliver a working system to the end user and be responsible for project variation and cost control.
Reporting internally and externally of progress of the projects.
Signing off the project with client and ensuring invoicing occurs.
Ongoing liaison with clients including site visits / meetings and surveys along with ensuring Health Safety is compliant with project specifics.
Communication of improvement actions
Other activities:
Keep up to date with technology advances through company training and technical information, and driving a mantra of continuous improvement and technical problem solving into the team
Assisting with general technical customer enquiries and support calls
Attendance and reporting into Senior Management Meetings.
Continuous improvement of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Maintaining alignment with the Operations Manager to maximize the efficiency of resource deployment and knowledge sharing.
Any other reasonable requests made by senior management.
Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire but with significant UK travel, salary is circa £40k-£45k plus mileage allowance and benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years AV Project Management/Pre-Sales experience and have extensive experience in aspects of AV system design, implementation and operation.
You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of completed projects and must be able to work well under pressure and deliver projects within budget and within timescales given. You will be self-driven; results orientated and flexible to travel within the UK as required. You must also be able to co-ordinate and motivate the team and be an empathetic communicator to be able to understand the clients' interests.
You must have a strong knowledge of Audio-Visual products and systems and have undergone extensive Manufacturer product training. Knowledge of Network IT infrastructure, Data and CCTV products would be useful. You will be a good people manager and possess project cost control skills. You will be a competent user of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
