- The Opportunity
Our clients are a leading supplier of smart city street furniture and electronic digital signage. An opportunity exists for a Digital Signage Applications and Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
The role incorporates the roles of design, production and Customer support. Gaining an intimate knowledge of the LCD and LED digital display product portfolio the Digital Signage Applications and Maintenance Engineer will be able to provide a supporting technical role in all aspects of our client's digital display and signage business.
Essential to this role is a solid foundation in electrical/electronic and IT and comms skills and an excellent aptitude for problem solving together with experience in LCD and LED displays and technology.
Key responsibilities:
First line rapid response customer support for field maintenance, providing training and answering technical queries.
Responsible for the electrical and electronic design of products, systems, sub-systems and components typically including a display, data source, communication accessories and associated controls
The scope of the electrical design includes specific proprietary controls for thermal management (fans and heaters)
Carrying system design through to test (prototype, build, verification and compliance testing) either personally or in cooperation with third party suppliers
Guiding technology and component selection
Preparation of specifications, product concepts, schematics and detailed wiring diagrams
Production Support on all Electrical/Electronic and Software aspects of the products
Support onsite and/or remotely with product installations as and when required.
Based near Heathrow, salary is circa £35k-£45k neg.doe plus benefits
