- The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an Audio Visual Programmer with experience in writing audio visual control code in AMX, Crestron, and/or Extron programming languages.
You will have a practical knowledge of the setup and commissioning of audio visual systems and will be will be programming Crestron, AMX, and Extron bespoke control systems. A working knowledge of Microsoft server systems, server infrastructure, VM ware, SQL databases, networking topologies, streaming technologies and Audio Visual / I.T. integration will be an advantage as will the ability to produce Apps for Android and IoS.
Training will be provided to apply this core knowledge to industry specific systems and requirements.
Working in Central London, your key responsibilities will be:
Completion of industry specific training and certification within defined timescale.
Loading compiled code to completed Audio Visual systems and testing functionality
Programming control systems including producing Pseudocode, flowcharts including GUI design, producing code and compiling to finished program.
Uploading source and compiled code to SourceAnywhere
You will also be expected to be hands-on and commission systems when required.
Based in Central London, salary is circa £45k p.a. plus benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
BSc / HND / HNC Computer Science or equivalent
UK Driving licence
Experience of programming AMX, Crestron or Extron based control Systems
Experience of drafting Pseudocode, flowcharts including GUI design, producing code and compiling to finished program.
Experience of Microsoft server systems.
Experience of setting up networks, including subnets,
VPNs and firewalls.
Experience of configuring / commissioning Audio DSPs
Once trained must be able to work un-supervised, under time pressure and to deliver projects to schedule.
Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non- technical individuals.
Empathic communicator able to understand project brief and clients requirements.
Self-driven and results oriented.
Able to work extended hours as required.
