- The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior AV Technician to join our client's busy team in central London.
Your duties and responsibilities:
To produce well planned and executed live, hybrid and virtual events
To use technology to deliver highest quality face to face, virtual and hybrid meetings, conferences and events possible.
To be skilled and knowledgeable in the configuration and operation of a broad range of event technologies
To be organised, creative, positive, team and customer focussed in everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
To have a full working knowledge of all AV equipment and services within the estate.
To take a brief from internal and external clients and produce a high-quality technical solution.
To lead a team of technicians producing live, hybrid and virtual events
To provide expert advice to clients during the planning of a project or event.
To have an expert level of knowledge of all AV equipment on site.
To ensure that all audio-visual equipment is maintained and correctly stored.
Based in central London salary is circa £30k-£31.5k plus benefits.
Our client is currently paying Market Forces Premium of up to an additional £5k p.a.(payable for the first 6-9 months thereafter subject to review*).
*The Market Forces Supplement will be periodically reviewed, based on benchmarking data. The supplement is non- contractual and can be changed or removed based on changes to the job market.
Your skills and experience
You will be:
Self-motivated, inquisitive and methodical
Excellent problem-solving skills
Customer focused with excellent communication skills
Calm and capable of working under pressure
Previous experience of :
Working in a customer facing role
Previous experience of the audio-visual, events or technical arts industries
Demonstrable knowledge of AV disciplines (audio, projection, video, IT, lighting)
A technical or creative art qualification (desirable)
Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
A strong working knowledge of IT and networks (desirable)
The Organisation
The Audio Visual facilities of this centre are award winning and market leading with an emphasis on providing high quality technical conferences and meetings utilising AV over IP infrastructure. There are two modern theatres with built-in AV technology as well as 18 other rooms hosting approximately 1700 events a year with AV requirements. The Audio Visual team also support two virtual event platforms and provide filming, editing and content creation services.
