The role of the Business Development Manager is to develop sales in line with the companys growth targets. A hunter, you will be a strong sales performer, well organised and demonstrate excellence in execution. You will manage, develop and grow your account base along with generating leads for the Senior Business Development Managers. An astute Account Manager, you will maintain excellent client relationships, deliver in depth account mapping, exceptional account penetration and add value at every point of contact.
This role will focus solely on lead generation for the first quarter, progressing to account management thereafter.
General Responsibilities
Identify sales opportunities by generating leads for the Senior Business Development Team.
Qualify all sales opportunities generated for the Senior Business Development Team.
Effectively account manage your account client base.
Make regular contact with client base, by telephone, email and in person.
Seek opportunities to expand product service offer into client base.
Manage customer enquiries within agreed SLAs.
Achieve monthly lead generation targets.
Achieve monthly margin targets (after first quarter).
Accurately forecast sales expectation (after first quarter).
Work collaboratively within team to ensure wider business success.
Based in our client's Reading Office, salary if circa £26k-£28k plus £8k OTE commission plus performance bonus and benefits.
Your skills and experience
You will have strong outbound calling skills, able to quickly build rapport and have a new business mindset.
You will have a proven track record of account management using outbound sales techniques.
Experience in B2B Account Management within the corporate AV industry a distinct advantage.
Ability to work to KPIs.
Ability to develop opportunities with existing customers as well as identifying and sourcing new business.
You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong organisational skills.
