- The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a leading Audio Visual vendor as Software Product Manager for the EMEAR region. As a result of significant business growth, this new role will require you to manage product planning, preparation and launch stages of AV product life-cycle across the EMEAR region, working closely with Global HQ in the Far East. You will also be responsible for building a comprehensive understanding of key market information and customer values for both existing and new products in order to drive future product planning in order to grow our client's business.
Key Responsibilities:
▪Develop and implement launch plans, including product phase-out/phase-in for new products. Create comprehensive briefing documents and launch schedules to ensure all areas of the business and Technical Partners are prepared for a new product launch
▪Train local Product Managers to ensure effective and consistent demonstration of a new product by focusing on user experience and value
▪Work closely as the “gel” with the hareware Product Managers looking after Corporate and Education Vertical of the AV portfolio
▪Work closely with Marketing to manage the creation and delivery of all marketing collateral, ensuring accuracy, localisation and consistency of information
▪Work with the Central Legal and Environmental departments to ensure that all risks related to product lifecycle management are considered and planned accordingly
▪Through hands-on testing and market specific research covering customer, competitor and channel partner information, assess product competitiveness in meeting customer needs, and identify areas of potential improvement to customer value proposition
▪Fully understand the customer requirements, user experience, workflow -with software, content and hardware integrated solutions and, where relevant, media. Provide advice regarding market needs and influence product road map
▪Track the price/features/value propositions of key competitors with a segmented approach working with other stakeholders and customers as required. Use this information to support the company's (GTM) Go to Market Plans commercial/channel strategy implementations
▪Provide input to the Manager Product Management on product positioning against market segments, that would maximise market share and market sizing in the EMEAR region whilst optimising profitability, and support them in the development of the Mid-Term Planning and quarterly update cycles
▪Assess new competitor launches and pricing issues in order to provide quick feedback to the Manager Product Management on the impact of positioning, and recommend actions to ensure that the correct competitive position is maintained.
This role is based out of offices near North London with some travel across EMEAR.This exciting position offers a very competitive remuneration package (£50k+) plus benefits commensurate with this blue chip company.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have strong product management experience gained across the AV market with knowledge of AV software solutions to include NPI, NPD, Cradle to Grave, End to End Solution delivery, pricing strategy, demand forecasting, product life cycle, EOL management, Portfolio Positioning, Completive Analysis, Product Development influence, Product Roadmap ownership
Applications are welcomed from product marketing, solution architect , software solutions specialists with proven experience in this sector (AV IT).
You will be experienced in building value proposition, running user story mapping, designing Usability and User Acceptance Tests, have good Excel knowledge and general IT knowledge (Networking), be numerate with good attention to detail and be process driven.
Experience of stakeholder influence and ISV Vendor Management, you will have an analytical and questioning manner with the ability to make sense of data.
You will have a Graduate level education in computer science, or marketing background and the ability to speak more than one European language will be useful - ideally German or French.
