- Trainee Audio-visual installations engineerAcoustic Arrangements are dedicated to providing quality audio-visual solutions and digital signage to churches, education, crematoria and registry offices around the UK. We offer a quality service, incorporating sales, hire, installation and training in all forms of presentation technology.Due to our continued success and growth plans, we are looking for a self-motivated, passionate, trainee audio-visual installations engineer to join our team in installing complete Audio, Visual and webcasting systems around the UK. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working as an audio-visual installations engineer, but full training will be provided for ambitious candidates who want to develop and succeed within the industry.Responsibilities:• Installing Audio Visual Systems across the UK, this will include - basic soldering, cable termination, fault finding, running cables, terminating ends, fixing brackets, mounting hardware• Commissioning the installed sound and video equipment, ensuring a high quality end result for the customer• Awareness to the sensitive nature of some of the environments you will be working in which include; listed and new church buildings, crematoria, conference centres, schools and hospitals• Effectively communicate with customers of different competency levels to resolve technical enquires and issues efficiency• Visiting customer sites to service and/or repair existing equipment• General admin support in our office when not on site which will include: updating job progress on our internal system, responding to emails, stock control, social media and website updates• Happy to travel UK wide and work away from home as and when required - use of the company van will be available when working on siteExperience/Skills:• Experience of installing audio visual systems in a similar environment is advantageous, but not essential• Knowledge of audio visual systems (sound systems, digital and analogue mixers, projectors, LCD Screens, HD Distribution etc) equipment would be useful• Competent DIY skills• Experienced in dealing with customers• Effective communication skills - face to face, email and phone• High attention to detail and time management skills to ensure standards of quality are met and installations are successfully signed off within agreed timescales• Excellent IT skills - MS Office applications• Full UK driving licenceUK travel is required. The working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30 am to 5pm when in the office. On site hours can vary from dependent upon customers' needs with occasional weekend work. Full training will be given.
