Introduction

IDN is about to embark on the next phase of its exciting growth journey and we are looking for a experienced all round Network and Audio Visual installation engineer to join our team.

Person Specification

Alongside the skills & experience below, we are looking for someone with a passion for making a difference in Education and who is excited about working in the dynamic IT sector.
You will have particular empathy and understanding of working in occupied education establishments.

Core Responsibilities

▪ Installation of Interactive and Audio visual technologies into the education sector
▪ Installation of major structured cabling projects in new builds as well as small retrospective installations in occupied premises
▪ Carrying out pre and post installation surveys
▪ Producing installation and handover documentation
▪ Line management of other installation technicians whether employed or sub contractors

Working base is the Taunton office and the areas serviced from there, Mainly Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire but travel and overnight stays in other areas will be required.

Skills and Experience

The following are essential for any applicant to this role:

▪ Extensive and varied network installation experience of structured cabling including fibre optics splicing and testing
▪ Solid experience in design and installation of AV equipment used within the education sector
▪ Results driven- achieving measurable results and customer service excellence through adoption of the PROUD principles.
▪ Ability to produce pre and post installation drawings and documentation for network and AV installation works
▪ The ability to plan your own workload and excellent time managment skills are essential.

It would also benefit applicants if they have the following,(but please apply anyway if you don't):
Electrically qualified- IDN carry our minor electrical works associated with our installations

Salary range £20k-£25k dependant upon experience
