- The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a global AV/VC team as a Senior Engineer.
Our client has a permanent full-time position available immediately in their Operations Team, for a high-quality Audio Visual Installation Engineer who has at least 3 years experience.
Working as part of a global team, their engineering teams are involved in the installation and integration of high end corporate audio visual systems including video walls, control systems, conferencing systems and HD video distribution equipment
Your Main Job Tasks Responsibilities:
▪Carrying out first and second fix installation activities on time and to the required standard
▪Working under instruction from Project Engineers and Project Managers, but also to think laterally and suggest engineering solutions on site
▪Working from schematics, terminating sheets, site plans and drawings, including ensuring that any changes are reflected on the schematics
▪To ensure that systems are made ready for handover from installation to commissioning, including documentation.
▪Installation of Video Conferencing systems
▪Installation of Audio Visual systems
Based in Greater London/Surrey/Sussex salary is negotiable doe and is £30k+, plus company vehicle and benefits,
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
▪Strong ability to work alone and on own initiative
▪Ability to carry out installation activities on time and to the required standard
▪Be organised, flexible and able to overcome challenges during the working day
▪Very good communication skills
▪To have a good understanding of 1st and 2nd fix AV installations
▪Have excellent soldering, crimp and terminating skills
▪Experience and understanding of control systems, AMX/Crestron would be an advantage.
▪Experience and understanding of Video Conferencing systems would be an advantage.
▪Must be physically fit
▪The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience of production and wiring methods and carried out previous installation work in the AV industry
▪A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
