- The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen within one of our respected, high energy professional AV vendors for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team. The position reports into the Director of Sales UK and the successful applicant will assist and manage their Northern UK reseller accounts. Our client is a successful global vendor.
The role includes regular travel and sales staff are expected to be able to attend international and domestic trade shows occasionally. The role will include staying away from home overnight from time to time plus representing the company at selected evening industry networking events.
The role would be suited to an outgoing and self-motivated individual who enjoys meeting new people and developing sustainable working relationships. Attitude, gregariousness and personality are more important than extensive experience. Our client can mentor you, educate you, and train you to sell but only you can make yourself likeable.
▪Develop and Implement the long term business strategy through agreed sales channels to achieve sales and profit targets.
▪Provide support to the dealer/distributor by way of relationship management, sales promotions, marketing initiatives and training.
▪Broaden the business opportunities by investigating and developing as appropriate, all options for route to market.
▪Leverage partnerships pro-actively, both current and new.
▪Consider marketing/ creative ideas and suggestions for improvement of account performance using budget funds efficiently.
▪Present activity and performance results at sales meetings. To contribute towards accurate sales forecasting.
▪Collate competitor activity and feedback to sales management and business as required.
▪Develop and maintain a consistent and thorough understanding of product and industry knowledge to ensure a consistently high level of representation within the account and prospect bases.
▪Quickly and accurately complete all administration requests as specified by manager/ head office. Constantly monitor performance against unit and revenue targets. To complete any other duties as they become relevant or as requested.
▪To be a brand ambassador for a great global brand and represent the company at industry events, shows and exhibitions.
Based ideally along M62 corridor but anywhere North of Birmingham with good access to road networks. Salary is circa £40k basic with £60k OTE plus car or car allowance and benefits,
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have:
▪2+ years in the IT/AV Industry and Knowledge of the Pro AV Market and channels
▪Experience in Managing Sales Territory
▪Technical experience in an AV/ engineering environment an advantage.
▪Good knowledge/user level of Salesforce CRM
▪Proactive and charismatic
▪Excellent communication skills including written skills.
▪Self motivated and an excellent time territory manager.
Required - Full driving licence, IT skills in MS Office
Desirable: Higher Education
