Our client is looking for a Project Manager who thrives on being in charge of cutting edge audio visual schemes and can make stuff happen.If you're an ambitious team player with a solid and demonstrable experience working as a Project Manager within the AV industry, then we can offer you a challenging role in a company that's going places.
You've gotta love tech with a passion. That's a given.
You will report to the Head of Projects and energetically define, plan and implement cutting edge audio visual project installations for their precious clients (the ones the sales team worked hard to land). To get all of this done, you will work alongside a team of a highly skilled installers, organising resources and making sure you deliver on promises, both on time and within budget.
You will be a leader who is inspired to motivate your team, get a kick out of meeting tight deadlines and will love nothing more than inspiring a team to deliver what they promise. and you can work under pressure to tight deadlines. And your attitude is positive and upbeat.
Sometimes things don't go to plan (it happens), and you'll need to find a solution, making sure the team stay on track, whilst keeping a clear head and a smile on your face!
You get a kick out of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
You'll mainly be covering the London area, but sometimes they will need your help in other parts of the UK and possibly pop over to Europe every now and then with the odd overnight stay.
You'll be reporting to the Head of Projects working as part of the Projects Team with responsibility for attending handover meetings from their super slick sales team and taking ownership of the assigned projects thereafter. You will work closely with and build good working relationships with clients and main contractor, creating clear and achievable project timelines whilst understanding project requirements and client objectives.
There's a budget to take care of and keep in check, so identifying potential problems and devising a contingency plan will be key to this.
Build the Bill of Materials, liaise with the Purchasing Team and make sure the correct equipment and consumables are ordered, on site and where they should be!
Stardraw is the drawing package of choice and you will need to use it to keep schematics and drawings up to date.
You have to own each project and make it happen! Every job is different, so you'll never get bored.
Based in Central London, Salary is negotiable circa £45k-£50k plus + car allowance of £4k p.a. and benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
▪Proven Project Management or Senior Engineering experience within the AV industry. A hand hold for the client and building those relationships is a must.
▪
▪A Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) really rings our bell.
▪
▪Youll know your stuff when it comes to video conferencing, control systems, DSPs, general audio, displays and video walls.
▪
▪Creating schematics, drawings wiring diagrams is instinctive (ideally using CAD or Stardraw) and a talent in reading and scaling floor plans and working drawings is needed.
▪
▪Your ability to provide exceptional customer focus and building on customer relationships is all in a day's work.
▪
▪We need you to be a ECS (or equivalent) card holder.
▪
▪Oh and to have a valid UK driving license and the right to work in the UK.
▪
▪CTS-D and/or Emergency First Aid Training certificate would be nice to have.
