- OverviewAs part of our department expansion Adxba are looking to recruit an experienced Support Technician that has experience in working on 1st as well as 2nd line support desks and is someone who is used to going to site to resolve technical issues as they may arise.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a good technical skillset and can-do attitude to get involved in managing and servicing technology in Gatwick Airport, Heathrow Airport, Stansted Airport and other locations throughout the UK.We are ADXBA and we are responsible for designing, installing and maintaining a vast array of large format screens throughout the UK and Europe in airports, shopping malls, and major retailers. You will have seen systems that we are responsible for.As a Support Technician you will be responsible for the day to day service desk operations ranging from 1st line support, 2nd line support, onsite fault resolution and maintenance of equipment.The role requires a solid background in providing technical support and services within the IT/ AV industry, with the understanding to document and manage separate and combined systems. Experience in managing digital signage systems and working with clients to advise and proactively resolve remote and onsite faults would be extremely advantageous.You will also from time to time help with technical installation of our solutions and documentation of systems for handover to our clients.As a Support Technician you will build strong relationships with the rest of the ADXBA Technology and Service teams as well as the business as a whole and will hold direct relationships and responsibilities for some of the biggest airports and media companies in the world.The role will be predominantly based South East of England, however, due to the nature of the business the Service Technician may also be required to travel to other regions to assist in works and/ or respond to assigned faults.Additionally this role requires flexible working hours and there is also an aspect of ‘on call’ 4 weekly shared between fellow team members.
Office/field based, with approximately 50% of your role travelling to sites throughout the South.
As this role involves working at airports, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a security check. This will include confirming you’ve lived in the UK for at least five years and have not been outside of the UK for more than six months at a time. This role is also subject to a DBS check.This is a key position at ADXBA and carries with it our reputation with our clients and within our industry.
Based in Crawley salary is negotiable doe circa £22k-£27k plus benefits & bonus & use of company van when required.
Key Responsibilities● Client Support■ 1st line support■ On-site response■ Onsite repair/ fault resolve■ Onsite proactive and reactive maintenance■ Servicing checks and cleaning of digital assets■ Manage faults and customer requests from receipt to resolution and closure■ Actively contribute ideas towards internal systems■ Encourage and support customers in using self-service systems to log, update and receive updates of service requests■ Service Permits to work■ Service Parking permitsMinor Responsibilities● Aid our installation team with installation of displays from time to time.● Technical Commissioning○ Aid our installation team with technical commissioning on LED Displays and other technical solutions.○ Sign-off of installed equipment● Technical Specification & Vendor Managemento Identify, Specify AV and iT equipment for internal and client use.o Build relationships with our suppliers and vendors to ensure supportPosition Requirements (knowledge & experience)· Good Verbal and written communication skills· Competent IT knowledge (Inc Microsoft office products)· Extensive on-site installation experience· Experience and working knowledge of display / AV and computer hardware / software.· Experience of Broadsign as a CMS is an Advantage. Experience of helpdesk support 1st-3rd line.
