- The Opportunity
This exciting role is responsible for the development of sales for the Large Panel Product category, including Interactive Panels, Large Format Displays and Digital Signage. You will have an existing client base but also need to develop new opportunities through a network of existing and new resellers.
High energy and solutions focussed and able to deliver practical and individual solutions to meet the customer requirements, and to enable further expansion of business with each customer.
Key responsibilities:
Establish and maintain productive, professional and influential relationships with distribution and channel resellers within the assigned region leading to a deep understanding of distribution and partner business organizations.
Develop a strong relationship with the management/leadership within each assigned account.
Monitor competitor and market activity to provide sales positioning arguments, value propositions, objection handling, and competitive positioning.
Work closely with the rest of the UK Sales Team, Product Marketing and Supply Chain Departments to optimise product plans and availability (specifications etc) with market opportunities.
Attend trade shows, conduct seminars and participate in distributor and reseller sales/promotional events.
Liaise with Client Relationship Manager to conduct product training and demonstration activities for Distribution, Resellers and End-User (both education and corporate clients).
You will:
Visit customers on a regular basis to provide the correct levels of direct customer contact.
Provide a fast friendly and efficient response to the demands of the defined customer base.
Maintain the quality and image of the company by providing a level of service and support that ensures total customer satisfaction.
Obtain accurate stock, sales and forecast information from key customers.
Provide information on both market and product trends to assist in the future development of the product portfolio.
Liaise with other members of the sales department to ensure information flow and a cohesive approach to the market.
Work as a team player at all times by providing assistance to other employees as required.
Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the company.
Based either in the South East (London or Home Counties) or North of M62 - Leeds or Manchester areas - salary will be £40k-£45k p.a. (OTE c £50k-£55k) plus car allowance, fuel card, bonus and benefits.
Your skills and experience
You will have:
At least 5 years sales experience in AV sector with corporate or institutional end users / Education reseller and distribution accounts in the computer or display market
Professional selling skills
Sound business acumen
Aggressive, autonomous, assertive, creative and customer driven
Creativity and with an ability to bring new products to market.
Must be a team player and be able to develop business plans and sales.
Excellent Presentation and Communication skills
Good business sense and understanding of business processes
Ability to work with deadlines and end-dates in a marketing environment
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
