- The Opportunity
Our successful client is looking to recruit an AV Engineer to work within the team carrying out installations of brilliant custom built webcasting software and all of the wraparound AV equipment that goes along with that. Rack building, service visits and helping the amazing Service Desk will also play a part in your role. The purpose of the role is to ensure that installations are carried out to the highest level with minimal waste of project time and resource. A ‘right first time mentality to prevent return site visits is a must.
The right person will be willing to travel (van provided) and spend some time working away (usually 8-10 nights a month). We don't expect you to know it all, but a willingness to be proactive and learn new technology is essential.
Based from home, salary is doe £30k-£35k p.a. plus overtime, van, pension and generous benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
At least 4 years experience of AV installation and integration
Experience of problem solving and troubleshooting of AV installations down to component level
The ability to work on construction sites and understand 1st and 2nd line fix skills
Experience of terminating and testing Cat 5, 6 and audio and video cables
Excellent soldering and crimping skills
Excellent rack building skills.
Good communication skills both in writing and verbally
Clean driving licence
