- The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a successful Audio Visual Manufacturer selling its products to resellers across the UK.
Your role will be:
To develop new business within a given market sector.
To grow and develop existing sales in the Audio-Visual market.
To pro-actively seek new reseller/integrator accounts on a regional basis.
You will:
Proactively find and qualify new leads for conversion within the sales pipeline.
Generate new leads and conduct new business campaigns with the assistance of the marketing team.
Make appointments for Regional Sales Manager(s) in order to maximise new opportunities and to ensure that existing customer relationships are maintained.
Maintain the diary of the Regional Sales Managers as appropriate.
Build up a list of prospects in our client's CRM software, checking that the information is correct, and where necessary updating it so that a reliable proactive approach can be adopted for all campaigns.
Plan and organise workloads to make the most effective use of the opportunities to sell our client's products.
Glean the necessary information from customers, utilising appropriate sales techniques (i.e., good questioning and listening), to provide a suitable product offering that maximises the sales opportunity and meets the needs of the customer.
Engage with resellers/integrators to identify and manage projects in an effective manner. To understand the requirements in full, who is involved and the timescales of the project, and then to liaise with the End User Team (Merchandising Sales) accordingly.
Create compelling proposals and quotations based on the customers requirements and expectations.
Maximise the sales potential of every call, ensuring that company targets are either met or exceeded.
Support other team members in the achievement of sales.
Record all the relevant information from customers, utilising the companys standard procedures and software so that any follow-up action is effective, efficient and within agreed timescales.
To ensure that your sales pipeline is accurate and kept up to date at all times.
To attend periodic performance review meetings.
Learning and Development
Build up and maintain a knowledge of the relevant products and services provided by our client in order to assist in building up excellent relationships with customers by supplying accurate, relevant and timely information. This includes being aware of specific promotional and marketing campaigns that are relevant to customers.
Proactively ensure you keep up to date with any company changes that impact on the role and the customer.
Operate the relevant software packages proficiently to carry out the role effectively and efficiently.
Understand and operate within company procedures and policies.
Research and log any relevant information regarding the customer in the appropriate system so that it can be used in any future contact.
Take responsibility for personal development and be open to opportunities that will enhance skills and improve productivity.
Based in Birmingham (near the airport) salary is to £25k p.a.neg.doe. with OTE of £35k p.a. plus benefits.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will:
Must possess good listening and questioning techniques, be outgoing, an excellent verbal communicator with a pleasant confident telephone manner.
Sales-orientated and possess drive and determination to succeed.
Must be able to use your own initiative and think ‘outside the box.
A reasonable Audio-Visual technical understanding is beneficial.
Conscientious and resilient with a “will do/can do” mentality.
Literate, numerate and specifically having good IT skills.
