- The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Regional AV Sales Manager to work for a key vendor targeting End User opportunities throughout the North West and Scotland.
To achieve sales targets by pro-actively selling our client's branded products to End Users.
To pro-actively seek merchandising opportunities from End User accounts for products sold through the Audio Visual integrator channel.
To provide accurate feedback of the results of meetings.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Sales Performance
Organise time to maximise the visit opportunities that are available, particularly with reference to spending extra time at each call to open other avenues of sale for each prospect. When long distances are travelled you would also be expected to have at least one overnight stay to make good use of time and travel expenses.
Plan and organise workloads to make the most effective use of the opportunities to sell products.
Glean the necessary information from customers, utilising appropriate sales techniques (i.e., good questioning and listening), to provide a suitable product offering that maximises the sales opportunity and meets the needs of the customer.
Maximise the sales potential of every call, ensuring that individual targets are either met or exceeded.
Support other team members in the achievement of any team targets.
Record all the relevant information from customers, utilising the companys standard procedures and software so that any follow-up action is effective, efficient and within agreed timescales.
To ensure that your sales pipeline is accurate and kept up to date at all times.
To achieve base premium expectations against target.
Cold call and prospect new customers with a view to opening ‘new business accounts.
Demonstrate products at every available opportunity.
Learning and Development
Build up and maintain a knowledge of the relevant products and services provided by TOP-TEC in order to assist in building excellent relationships with customers by supplying accurate, relevant and timely information. This includes being aware of specific promotional and marketing campaigns that are relevant to customers.
Learn and fully understand the product portfolio of all of our major competitors and think of strategies to
sell against them when asked by customers.
Proactively ensure you keep up to date with any company changes that impact on your role and the customer.
Operate the relevant software packages proficiently to carry out the role effectively and efficiently. Learn to use company software including a drawing package to complete and present design layouts to customers as part of our business proposal.
Understand and operate within company procedures and policies.
Research and log any relevant information regarding the customer in the appropriate system so that it can be used in any future contact.
Take responsibility for own development and be open to opportunities that will enhance skills and improve productivity.
Based within the North West of England, salary will be £40k-£42k p.a. + uncapped commission and targeted bonus, car allowance and benefits.
Your skills and experience
You must possess good listening and questioning techniques.
Sales-orientated and possess drive and determination to succeed.
Outgoing, an excellent verbal communicator with a pleasant, confident manner.
A good team-worker.
Willing and able to learn new skills quickly.
Conscientious and resilient with a “will do” mentality.
Numerate and possess a minimum grade C in Maths GCSE or equivalent.
Good typing skills and be IT literate.
A good technical understanding.
