- The Opportunity
To be based from our client's York office, the technician role is to support the Technical Director and Account Managers with the delivery of technical installation and maintenance services for all of their customers. The technician(s) will be required to work as part of a team and on occasion alone.
Work can involve international travel, sometimes at short notice.
Essential Skills
An excellent knowledge of one or more of the following areas of entertainment technology and an understanding of the other areas
o Lighting, Sound, Video, Rigging, Control Systems, Networks
Permanent or Contract work considered.
Our client will look at Lighting Technicians without AV experience or AV Technicians without Lighting experience to enable them to work together as a team.
Install video, audio, lighting and control systems
Follow positional and wiring drawings
Carry out maintenance on equipment and report any defects
Where possible, carry out first level repairs of equipment
Update software and firmware on clients' equipment as and when required
Lead or assist on service visits to client sites and cruise ships on a scheduled basis
Keep timesheets of all working hours
Write work reports after service and maintenance visits
Provide guidance and training to other team members and customers on the use of equipment
Must be presentable, well-spoken and well mannered.
Based in their York office, the work will include travel, including international travel as the work is occasionally on cruise ships. Salary negotiable, doe, plus excellent benefits, more information on application.
Your skills and experience

Working as AV or Lighting Technician in Events and or entertainment or cruise ships would be distinctly advantageous.
