- The Opportunity
With continued growth year on year despite the current market conditions , this leading Audio Visual distributor is looking to recruit an experienced Custom Install/Home Automation salesperson / BDM to cover the UK and Ireland.
You will be working with the existing and expanding product portfolio for the CI market, bringing your existing and established relationships in this sector to develop and expand the customer base.
You will be involved in all of the strategic and brand decision making and working closely with the director team and the ever growing supplier base. You will be expected to also identify commercial opportunities with a view to helping your existing CI integrators with their commercial projects, and demonstrate how our client can assist others in diversifying their business (especially in the 12 18 months of recession ahead).
In this part of the role you will be required to utilise the wider team and lean on the 6 commercial salespeople that are in post to run with opportunities.
With an existing and growing portfolio of products, there is the opportunity to really develop your ability and skill set. The company itself has a very “open” approach and prides itself on being collaborative, ensuring everyone in the company feels part of the team.
Covering the UK and Ireland , the successful candidate will be required to use existing relationships and contacts to aid in bringing our client to the CI market, work with existing suppliers, work with the director team and evaluate new brands and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute profitable business plans in collaboration with the sales leadership team and directors
Establish relationships with existing and new clients, partners, and manufacturers
Ensure adequate pipeline coverage across the nominated target territory and be proficient in maintaining customer records in the CRM system.
Maximise Sales Efficiency through solution support and system design
Be fully conversive in account management with the ability to manage customer expectations and enquiries
Maintain an open and communicative path between end user, integrator and leadership team
Lead engagement with end users to put the product portfolio in front of key decision makers
You will work at both a BDM and strategic level within the Group. You will be expected to work closely with the current team both internally and externally helping colleagues in a reciprocal manner.
Ideally based in the South East, but covering the UK and Ireland. Salary doe £50k-£60k plus bonus, car allowance and benefits.
Your skills and experience
You will be good at partnering, innovating, and making things happen - You must be aligned with the groups core values.
Typically 5+ years of direct experience in solution sales with a strong and demonstrable background of target achievement within the AV Industry.
Ideally, you will have either worked with a distributor or manufacturer, where sales and brand building formed part of your role.
Position value and build cost-benefit business cases for potential customers to meet their needs.
