Clevertouch Academy at BETT includes ‘the ultimate lesson’

Clevertouch is to offer a full programme of free seminars at BETT, open to end users and installers in education.

The Clevertouch Academy will offer presentations from leading education experts, demonstrations from

teachers and ‘The Ultimate Lesson’ from the Clevertouch in-school training team.

Drawing on years of experience, specialist speakers will provide insights and best practice tips on how to modernise and transform classroom tech.

Taking place at the show which runs from 24 to 27 January, the Clevertouch Academy speakers include:

Dr. Edward Tse, one of the principal inventors of the first multitouch table product for education, who will be giving talks on how to encourage creative expression in pupils, as well as revealing the impact of video in education and explaining how teachers can harness it in the classroom.

Andrew Pridmore, the headteacher of Elizabeth Woodville Primary School, which recently upgraded its teaching facilities with Plus series interactive screens. School staff about to embark on their own technology upgrade can hear first-hand advice from someone who has already trodden this path and achieved a successful outcome. Pridmore will be talking about his school’s journey towards a digitised classroom and how it has benefited his pupils and staff during an audience Q&A session at BETT.

Dave Whillier, a Year 6 teacher and subject leader for computing at Camelsdale Primary School. He was part of the team that implemented a crowdfunding initiative that helped to fund a much-needed technology upgrade. Whillier will be answering questions about his school’s unusual journey to a successful installation of state-of-the-art Clevertouch screens in all seven classrooms.

The Clevertouch team, led by Ashley Helm, will take visitors through ‘The Ultimate Lesson’ demonstrating how teachers can utilise every aspect of a Plus screen to enhance the pupil learning experience. Clevertouch one-to-one sessions are also available on stand C280.

The Clevertouch Academy will have a broad scope, covering how touch and collaboration technology can, and is, revolutionising the classrooms of today and tomorrow. The academy’s seminars are geared towards giving practical and useful advice to education end users.
