The first panel debate at 11am is presented by the AV User group and will focus on the adoption of new technologies followed by a second at 3pm from AV Magazine on demystifying LED.
Taking part in the AV User Group panel are John Thompson, head of strategy for collaboration services at Barclays; Rob Owen of Deloitte; Daniel Lee, managing director of Hewshott International; and Lukasz Duda, integrated network services architect at AVMI.
The AV Magazine LED panel will feature Bob Kronman, director of Kronman Associaties, and John Kilfeather, director of operations and technology at Ocean Outdoor, with further panellists to be announced shortly.
The agenda of the panels is as follows:
11am-12pm: Adopting new technologies – Owen Ellis, AV User Group
Owen Ellis, chairman of the AV User Group will moderate the first panel at 11am on 16 May on adopting new technologies. We all want to be using the latest technology, features and functionality but whether it’s taking on software updates for existing hardware or vetting and deploying new hardware or software solutions, there are significant challenges involved. Arming buyers with the knowledge they need to feel confident about purchasing from a company they have no relationship with, this topic will cover what to be aware of.
3pm-4pm: Demystifying LED – Clive Couldwell, AV Magazine
Clive Couldwell, editor of AV Magazine will moderate the second panel on LED at 3pm on 16 May. One of the major challenges facing buyers is understanding LED technology – the different types, the pros and cons of each, comparing cheaper options and whether it is appropriate for a particular application. By explaining everything a buyer needs to know about LED, this panel discussion will ensure that anyone considering LED is well informed and armed against pitfalls yet optimistic about its potential. LED is fast becoming a very compelling option especially in retail, transport and prestige corporate environments and this will help to bring it centre stage for wider adoption in the market. Participants will benefit from a presentation to take away to help them to justify the cost implication when they return to their own organisations.
