The macom group adds staff and second office in the UK

AV consultancy macom has added a Shoreditch office to its Kent base, and appointed AV expert Michael Kottke as operations director of its UK business.

The moves have been made due

to an expansion in the macom service portfolio and an extremely positive order situation.

macom UK provides AV consultancy services and specialist planning to any global location and looks after a number of major UK-based companies both in the UK and abroad. The German-headquartered macom Group which serves as a manufacturer-independent AV technology consultant for digitalisation projects has had a branch office in the UK since 2016, with the UK branch backed up by the technical know-how and scale of the German parent company. Macom´s services include strategic planning, consulting and concept development, detailed engineering designs, tender and deployment management as well as operational design and transition of audio visual support services. The macom UK team forms an important part of Europe’s largest AV consultancy with over 100 employees in more than 10 office locations.

Christian Bozeat (pictured left), director of macom GMBH (UK), said: ”macom brings German engineering quality to the UK consultancy market. Working to well-defined German design processes we offer cost surety and quality assurance as well as on-time deployments in all of our consultancy services”.

Despite the uncertainty of Brexit, macom Group sees the opportunities the UK AV market offers and intends to continue to expand its operations in the coming years.

Björn Jensen, ceo of macom Group, said: “Within Europe, the United Kingdom has one of the largest markets for professional audio visual technology. Moreover, due to our portfolio that combines non-proprietary AV solutions design and specialist delivery knowledge with strategy consulting for collaboration solutions, future workspaces, digitalisation, and interactive brand presentation we can provide important and unique services to the UK market.”
