Powering the potential of students in every environment from small, private academies and public schools to universities and training campuses, the series offers more teaching possibilities, maximising interactivity, whilst also ensuring more cost-effective operation.
Mark Dew, Vestel head of B2B sales for the UK, commented: “With this dynamic range, we’re moving the education sector forward, making it easier and much more cost-effective for institutions and academies to trade up from traditional whiteboards or first-generation interactive flat panel displays. Synonymous with exceptional value, each of the IFM displays is designed to offer a world of teaching possibilities, equipping educators with future-proof and flexible solutions that are capable of growing and evolving with the changing needs of students.”
High Impact Interactivity and Visibility
Providing ten-point touch control and wider 178° viewing angles, all the 55/65/75/86in displays are designed to support a more inclusive learning environment for classes of all sizes. Encouraging participation, they ensure a more natural and fluid writing experience, accelerating the speed of touch and stylus inputs thanks to their 5-10ms response times. Extremely responsive, their IR overlays even allow touch inputs to be made with gloved or damp hands, making them suitable for use by a greater number of students during more practical class activities.
Whether pupils are sitting at the back or the front of the class, they can absorb more information at a glance. As well as offering features, such as 4K pinpoint sharp picture clarity, the displays come with higher brightness levels of 400 Nits to reduce the risk of any on-screen glare in even harshly lit environments.
Boost Net Learning Time
Giving students more net learning time, the IFC Series offers quick start support with features, such as Auto Launch and USB Auto Play. Content from USB devices can also run with much less risk of any interruption, as the USBs can be locked behind the display back panels.
In-house Promotional Activity and Fund-raising
Recognising that every educational institution must operate in an increasingly competitive and commercialised sector, Vestel has ensured that this generation of displays can support in-house promotional activity. Doubling up as marketing resource, the screens work well for any open days or fundraising events. Designed with DisplayPort inputs and DisplayPort outputs, they can also be daisy chained together to create big impact video walls. With added value features, such as signal failover protection, there is much less risk of any disruption to the on-screen content. In the advent that the signal is lost, pre-selected alternative content will appear, giving educators the confidence to proceed with public showcases.
Tablet-like System-on-Chip Technology
Designed with Quadcore System-on-Chip technology, all the displays offer built-in tablet functionality for a quick and affordable out-of-the-box solution. With SoC, cloud content management systems are easy to access, whilst education applications can also be developed through the Application Programming Interface.
When connected to a Local Area Network, educators also have the option of using LAN or RS-232 control, which enables them to set a core range of scheduling functionality from any location.
OPS Compatibility with Windows and Android PC Modules
The displays’ OPS compatibility with Windows and Android operating system modules ensures that they can support a wider variety of educational software. As an official Microsoft partner, Vestel can offer Windows 10 or Pro pre-packaged with any size of IFM display.
Windows 10 in Education
Designed to boost learning outcomes, Windows 10 offers best-in-class digital inking, giving students the opportunity to interact with the display in ways that suit them best. As well as having the possibility of using voice or stylus pen control, students can also express themselves through touch or gesture operation. Offering more possibilities for class collaboration and teamwork, Microsoft education tools such as Microsoft Whiteboard enable students and teachers to save and share their notes. Allowing documents to be worked on simultaneously, Whiteboard also ensures every individual’s contribution can be tracked and monitored by educators and mentors.
